Kamaal R. Khan Contemplating Suicide?

Kamaal R. Khan Contemplating Suicide?

If Kamal R. Khan is to be believed, then he is planning to... commit suicide soon! Unable to find a suitable star for his next project Love Story Of 3 Khans and getting no support from the industry dwellers, has finally taken a toll on Khan's mental state.

Kamaal elaborated his state of mind via Twitter, "Why I m always thinking about suicide? M I disturbed? Should I get married immediately?"
And the Desh Drohi star didn't stop here, he further threatened the Bollywood biggies by writing, "There are few ppl in industry who had harassed me so they will be responsible for my suicide if I do? There are 2 actors and 2 directors who harassed me so I shall write their names in my note."

He said that though others, in the past, have complained about sexual harassment, the industry is giving him a tough time in a totaly different manner.

"Rajeev Khandelwal, Sayali Bhagat, and many more already said about casting couch but mera case doosra hai," added Kamal R. Khan.

Will the "K" factor work for Ranbir?

Will the "K" factor work for Ranbir?

The alphabet 'K' has been crucial for the Kapoor clan for many decades now. If you are wondering what this K factor is all about, here is the story.

It is a well known fact that the Kapoor's owe their success to films that have been shot in Kashmir. From Shammi Kapoor to Rishi Kapoor, the settings of Kashmir have been integral part of their films.
In Ranbir's upcoming film ROCKSTAR, Kashmir has been revisited keeping the Kapoor tradition in mind. According to our sources, "Imtiaz is well aware of the significance of Kashmir with the entire Kapoor clan. Though the place may no longer be the hot bed of Bollywood shoots but the rapport Shammi Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor shared with Kashmir is legendary. Rishi Kapoor has gone to the extent of saying, "I am because of Kashmir!" Keeping this fact in mind Ranbir's ROCKSTAR is has added expectations from the audiences."
To gauge the attachment of Kashmir with the Kapoor family it must be mentioned that the last remains of legendary actor Shammi Kapoor were flown to Kashmir in keeping with the wish of the late actor.
With the Kapoor's sharing a long successful relation with the backdrop of Kashmir, let's hope the "K" factor works for ROCKSTAR too since it stars another Kapoor in the lead.

The truth about Ash’s pregnancy

Aishwarya’s publicist rubbishes tabloid, Mumbai Mirror for fabricating stories of a possible C Section. Here's the truth
This is in regard to the article published by Mumbai Mirror dated 2nd November 2011 titled, “Bachchans pick Marol hospital for New B”. Coincidentally, this is the same publication that earlier carried another piece on Ash, titled ‘Pregnant Pause’ which stated that Mrs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was incapable of conceiving due to some ailment. While the paper has taken a 360-turn, Ash’s agents accuse the publication of now trying to insinuate that there is a possibility that Ash has pre-decided the date of her delivery.
Here are lines from the article in Mumbai Mirror, followed by the joint-quote from Aishwarya and Seven Hills Hospital’s spokesperson:
1: Says source, “There is a possibility of Aishwarya going in for a C Section delivery 11.11.11.”
Spokesperson’s response: “Yet again, ridiculously insinuating such an esteemed and respected family would actually turn nature’s course for such blind sensationalized beliefs. There is a limit to time and again attributing such regressive remarks like marrying her off to a tree or actually planning delivering her baby just for the sake of a sensational journalism. How can journalism allow for such irresponsible reporting with regards to such intimate and personal decisions in a lady’s life.  Excitement and curiosity aside, how can we allow for this to go on and on- this is disgusting….as a woman, as I am sitting on the 3rd of November and if by the will of God and nature’s turn, she does end up delivering on the date mentioned, will this fictitious bit of article remain with her for the rest of her life? And as an international public icon, is this what she will be tagged with for the rest of the life? This is not what she needs to go through at this happy moment in her life.”
2. “Every time Aishwarya makes a trip to the hospital extra precaution is taken to safeguard her privacy says a source. The sonography section is barricaded and curtains drawn to keep away other curious patients, revealed our source.”
Spokesperson’s response: “This is the most ridiculous remark from a  fictitious source– when have women been on a stage when sonographies are done in any hospital and on any woman."

3. “Well-placed sources at the hospital revealed that the gynecologist especially comes for Aishwarya’s appointment at 7.30 am, usually before other patients start trickling in.”
Spokesperson’s response: “This is totally false and baseless.”
4. “However we cannot ever predict a baby’s arrival, so we have booked the room from the 10th to the 15th, added the source.”
Spokesperson’s response: “Who is this source to have booked a room on the first place?”
Commenting on this article, Dr. Pai, Head of Radiology and Vice President, Seven Hills Hospital says, “The report published in a daily tabloid in regards to Mrs. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s delivery at Seven Hills has taken me by surprise. The information and details are a figment of someone’s imagination. 7.30 am appointments and a C SECTION for the 11th as declared in the news piece have no resemblance to the truth and such stories only put the medical fraternity in bad light.  It may be added that a sonography is a personal procedure and is not performed in open wards hence it would not be different for any patient; each is entitled to their privacy.  Twisted details mislead the people of this country to believe and follow what a writer may see has good ‘masala’ newsprint.”

Adds Aishwarya’s publicist, “It is unfortunate that such false and fabricated news is being created to influence minds. Such articles as the lead in a daily go against the basic responsibility of print reporting and show case misinformation that could effect the huge following into believing that such wonderful moments of ones lives as a gift of life are open to personal preferences.  As a lady, I would feel that we should provide a more responsible attitude to such misinformed articles.”

'Romeo' Row: Prateik And Arjun Kapoor To Clash In Shakespeare Adaptation

'Romeo' Row: Prateik And Arjun Kapoor To Clash In Shakespeare Adaptation

It was probably critically acclaimed director Vishal Bhardwaj who introduced the concept of localizing Shakespeare plays with his Maqbool and Omkara based on 'Macbeth' and 'Othello' and the trend seems to have caught on now.

Young actors Prateik and Arjun Kapoor (son of Boney Kapoor) shall be seen playing Romeos in their forthcoming flicks Issaq and Ishaqzaade respectively, which are said to be desi adaptations of Shakespeare's tragic drama 'Romeo And Juliet'. However, the similarities do not end there. Both the actors will play characters set in North India, who are forced to be on the run after certain circumstances and what makes this clash between the two flicks interesting is that both adaptations are set in a crime-infested area of North India, where different factions are at war against each other,

In Issaq, which is being directed by Manish Tiwari, Prateik plays a gun-runner, who is forced to go on the run whereas in the Habib Faisal directed Ishaqzaade, Arjun will be seen to be on the run.

When contacted, Prateik was quoted to have said, "I have no idea of what they (Habib Faisal team) are making. The titles of the two films may have a similar sound. But as long as their film doesn't have my script and cast, I am fine."

'RA.One' Row: Court Demands Rs. One Crore Deposit From SRK Over Copyright Violation

After being in the news since the past few months due to promotion activities, Shah Rukh Khan's superhero flick RA.One has now managed to land in trouble after the High Court ordered the makers of the film to deposit a sum of Rs. 1 crore with the court before releasing the movie.
The decision of the court follows the petition filed by one Yash Patnaik, who had filed a copyright violation case against RA.One, alleging that he is the original copyright owner of the concept and the content of RA.One, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.

The court also added that if the defendants failed to deposit the money within the stipulated time, an injunction order against the movie's release would become operational. The court has kept the final decision on the issue of copyright violation pending and would hear the case out in due course of time.

Red Chillies Entertainment product RA.One, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal is slated to release this Diwali 2011.

Rascals review

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Kangna Ranaut, Arjun Rampal, Chunky Pandey, Satish Kaushik
Directed by David Dhawan
Rating: *
Brand David Dhawan has always urged moviegoers to leave their brains at home. It's easy to pick a hole at this suggestion, who packs to go watch a movie, anyway? But assuming this was possible, can the remaining organs collectively make his movies an enjoyable experience? This is clearly an open debate for another forum. For now, 'Rascals' is yet another from the Dhawan stable that sticks to the staple ingredients that make his films what they're known for: silly gags, women in minimal clothing and rhyming one-liners which are usually insults. Having said that, don't expect anything more or less than just that from this one.
The film features conmen Chetan Chauhan (Sanjay Dutt) and Bhagat Bhosle (Ajay Devgn) who both spend some time conning others and then each other before landing up in Bangkok. Here, between trying to one-up each other, idiotically duping locals and some in-film branding for Pan Pacific Hotel, they bump into Khushi (Kangna Ranaut), a millionaire without a cause. Khushi's flippant attitude towards her immeasurable wealth (she keeps aimlessly signing cheques worth crores of rupees) and her perfectly toned body instantly draw our despicable duo towards her.
Naturally, our already competing rascals try every prank in the book to malign, seriously injure or ridicule each other, to win Khushi's attention and interest. The odd part of this sleaze contest is that neither of them seems to know whether they're gunning for Khushi's wealth or her vital stats. In all this, Khushi grins dementedly when flirted with/ spoken to/just like that, much like a battery-operated doll running on dodgy batteries.
A possible duplication of Govinda-Anil Kapoor's 'Deewana Mastana' is only obvious. Apart from the entire format, even elements like setting up a hooker to tarnish the other and a long exchange of dialogues involving cult B'wood actors who sacrificed their love for a friend or a brother, seem stale and tiring. Stupid humour is the nationally accepted form of humour in Bollywood. But 'Rascals' manages the incredible feat of falling below the already low standards set by this genre.
Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn haven't aged well. But that is not the issue. The issue is that they have aged and they need to realise that if they don't stop playing twenty-something's now, it could just be a bit too late to play the forty-somthings. Kangna's speech therapist has done a great job but when she's excited in a scene, there's no stopping the spit from hitting the ceiling.
'Deewana Mastana' had tickled many arm pits to be memorable. This washed-up version only repeats the better gags and in doing so, ruins the fond association with the original.
